i had a friend that ran kumho MX tires for grip... he said they're pretty good... quiet, and grip hard, even with wear... what's everyone's take? sorry for thread jackin'

ive heard nothing but good things about the kumho MXs from various autocrossers and road racers alike...very high grip tires...

MX's are a good tire: less ultimate grip than an RT-615 which is its main competitor in its price range, but better heat characteristics, and some different size options as well. According to some FA threads i remember, they actually get better with a little wear and heat. You'll like 'em if you wanna go fast and haven't stepped up to the $200/tire realm
