n62 maf necessary
i've been looking at this forum and found out a lot ppls with sr20 in their rides did upgrade from stock sr20 to z32(n62) maf my question is
if i use my sr20 mostly for daily driving and boosting sometimes..do i need it? and if i do need it,do i need extra parts to install this n62 maf? bc i read on these forum mostly have afc or safc installed\ or i can just plug and play (of course with rewiring) help appreciated guys |

People upgrade to a Z32 maf because the voltage reading is different, they are capable of reading much more air then the SR maf. People upgrade because sometimes it's easier to find a Z32 maf, they are riding the bandwagon, or they actually need it. In your case, if you have no other upgrades, and just want to use your SR for daily driving and some dicking around it's a far from necessary upgrade.

Yes.... well kinda. I mean you will need to do something so the ECU can read right. SAFC is one trick, but there are plenty of other options. Power FC, rom tune, etc. SAFC is just a quick and easy way out.
