s14 help! sr20 turbo elbow rubbing on steering shaft!!??

From what ive heard... a lot of turbo elbows are Molds for RHD sr20det's .. so
if you look the elbow is fucking close to the steering shaft.. it doesnt always rub but at times when turning i can feel it and its not pleasant.. thinking on removing it heating it up and hammering the shit out of it? would that make it lose exesive power? i called Godspeed and they said theirs rubs too??? I dont wanna have to spend $300 on a fkn greddy elbow but i will if I need to just want Zilvias opinion n yes i did do sum research. is there another cheaper brand that might work? thanks peeps
turbo is an 18G sr20 from an s13 "blacktop
any help would be appreciated.. thanks

You can't use a divided elbow in a USD car. You have to use a solid on.

My swap came with a Topspeed divided unit like the OP's picture, rubbed crazy, so I swapped in a Tomei.

Look around a Tomei will be $130 of so, why waste money on a Megan/ISIS when you can mad-rep some JDM shit for $15 more.

The Cobra from PBM is your best bet, but it's $320. It tucks the pipe and includes a center pipe.

I can't agree more... Cheapest i found a Tomei elbow is $165.. beats the hell out of a Greddy or a Cobra for twice the price.. def don't wanna get Megan. i dont know.. I guess i just heard their suspension sucks.. their exhausts arent worth getting so why would their elbows be.. ha where did you see the Tomei for 130? or was the an estimate guess? man thank God for zilvia.. this shit has been pissing me off for a while now..

Why are you helping him. If he don't know, he clearly did not ready any of the forum instructions or guidelines, meaning he prolly doesn't have anything to contribute.

An extra $30 gets the Tomei right off their webpage.

TOMEI EXPREME Turbine Outlet Pipe - Nissan SR20DET - Enjuku Racing Parts, LLC

If you ever sell it, I'm sure you'd get a better return on the Tomei.

Check around Enjuku for a turbo side gasket. Your existing turbo should have studs and just reuse the nuts holding your current down pipe on.

Other way around, They blow out easier. You want the stock metal wrapped gaskets.

Yes use the locking plates. They came stock for a reason. But thats not the cause to your problem. Its the elbow. OEM and metal gaskets are the best.

I have a megan elbow, fits perfectly, but they just gave me random bolts that didnt come any where near fitting. only things that where the right size where the 3 turbo to elbow studs they included.
