r32 front (please keep hating to a minimum, i will not respond)

its 75% of the way done. its not hard, fender gap is kind of annoying. Im looking for some FRP fenders to reshape and fix it.

i dont want to hear. Paint your car, it looks like shit. Ugly wheels, or whatever you want.

It is a project car. Ive had it for 3 months. almost 3500 dollars, 3 different front ends, 4 sets of wheels. I dont want to hear shit.

Its more of a how i did it thread for the people that are interested. I promised a member back a month ago id do a how to

Basically here it goes
The hood-
Lines up perfect, however you will ned the Hood latch extension bracket off the r32. other than that its bolt on
fenders-
You have to cut out the unner part towards the door, so it doesnt hit on the OEM brackets that stick out. On the bottom of the fenders, the mounting points are vertical vs the horozontal OEM mountings. Shoot some sheetmetal screws up in the biatch and call it a day (i have zipties now since someone stole my dewalt)
On the REAR most hole, you will need to take a dremel, and the hole neds to be extended all the way tot he end of the fender, like a slot. so you can bolt it down.
For the front of the fender, yuo need to get some sheetmetal, or radio bracketry to maek some brackets to pull the front of the fenders in. I bolted them to the top of the rad support, there are two holes that are threaded i used!!
On the inside front, where you would put a horizonal bolt, you need to make a bracket for that one also.
(more pics will come in the day time!)
Front bumper mounts to the fenders, im still workign on brackets since it got dark in the middle of it to pull it in and up where it shoudl be. More to come

Mods, dont lock please, this is a progressive HOW TO...just not done yet. work with me for a few days on it please!

Not my cup of tea, but its your car and I admire you for not being "scared" to try and do what you want to do w/ it. As for asking ppl not to flame, sometimes that's like an open invitation for some ppl to flame...just take it w/a grain of salt and realize that not one person whose gonna flame you has given 1 cent for your car. On the other hand they have a right to express their opinion.
Now for the constructive critcism...If you want this to be a good write up you'll need to post more detailed picture, especially when your refering to something that had to be modified, or adding a piece from the r32(like the piece w/the hood)....good luck

Change the front bumper. That's the worst R32 front made. Other than that, looks alright. I would have just changed it back to 180 front though. That's just me...

I'm glad I moved out of that building just in time.

TipStyles - lol @ a Prelude, the only ones still on the road in Japan are on American bases, hahahaha

So you went from this....

to it's current state. I'm just not getting it. What about how the body lines completely do not match, or that the r32 fender curves entirely different to the S chassis body? Man, i for one would have bought new tires before all that front end body work. Or hell, how bout a new windshield?
good luck!!

Aren't real R32's like dirt cheap? I guess if I was in Japan I woulda gotten a real R32 and be done with it. Plus it's on a hatch. Plus it's not even the GT-R front. But whatever it's not my car.

^ LOL. Hi sky!

to the OP, you can't expect to bolt up stock r32 fenders and call it a day. chop those fenders in half and weld the other half of the 180sx fenders. Then there's all other kinds of body work to be done.
btw, a how too would include STEP BY STEP instruction.
