You mean this turbo elbow??
*ISIS Turbine Outlet O2 Housing - Nissan SR20DET S14 [ ISIS-O2 ] - Enjuku Racing - Performance Parts and High Quality Fabrication

Any leaks after the turbo will not affect spool. So the cracked elbow is not the problem

^^^That would cause you not to spool. But +1 on the Tomei Elbow, made a big difference on my T518Z. Went from a Screamer Pipe to a Tomei elbow and it spooled up harder and faster, didnt think it would make that much of a difference but it did.

actually that is very untrue

my buddy car is stock w/ t28 and full exhaust mods. Ripped like a mofo. one morning it just stopped ripping, felt really laggy, and it was really loud. We popped the hood, and found the whole top part of his elbow cracked from off the flange. latr that day it broke all the way off, and the car felt like total dog shit.

I just want to know out of all of the guys that crack there turbo outlet pipes how many run flexpipes? I have a crappy ebay manifold, elbow, downpipe, test pipe, catback and have never had a problem out of any of it. First thing I did before I put my car together was cut the test pipe and weld a flex pipe into it, no problems ever. I think that is what the main problem is here. Also I run project nissan motor mounts so my motor doesnt flex much if any.
