Hell, I carried one from like 95 until early 2000, when cellphones became small and conveniently priced enough to have for regular people.
Mel is the same age as me, so I am willing to bet that it was about the same time for him, ages 16-20ish. Shiet, my 12 and 13 year old nephews have cell phones now, so times have changed.

Shit I didn't get a cell phone before I was 16. My parents thought it would distract me from the important things in life.

also, the cap guns. revolver. blast those caps as fast as you could. or, they had the paper roll of caps for other guns. you could just take a hammer and smash like half the roll of those while trying to cover your ear because it hurt so bad.... yea

I love these threads but I kinda hate em too. I love thinking of the days when you would play hide and go seek with the whole neighborhood, walk everywhere from the park to the liquor store to buy little debbies for $0.25 and so on and so forth. I hate kids nowadays who have to rely on they're parents for everything instead of earning it. I remember raking up the leaves in the front yard all the time for money to spend on cards/cap guns from the ice cream man/ etc. etc. I hate that kids rely on cell phones and Myspace to communicate instead of walking their lazy asses to their friends house 3 blocks away. I miss going to the mall to play arcades without fake ass gangbangers standing out front trying to act hard. I miss being a kid, but I also enjoy being an adult. Idk. Sorry for the story.

Okay someone help me figure this out.
Back in the day...I used to go to the towns local market. I dont know what the name of this candy is..but I will describe it as best as I can. FREE REP to anyone who can figure it out...along with a pic! So picture this: Small Condom shape Green package. Open it up, and inside was sour powdered flavored salt. It might have had a "7" on the logo. Anyone!!?

GI Joes. Those things were the shit. I used to have like 30... They still got them, but theyre all gay now.
Oh yeah. Good cartoons. Dont get me wrong, there are some decent cartoons on these days, but remember watching Ren And Stimpy? Innocent back then. Watch an episode now, and your like "wtf this is seriously an adult show" And when MTV played (good) music more than 1 hour a day at 4 AM.
