I got this letter from the local police dept. :
Dear Mr. Hsiao; On September 28, 2002 at approximately 8:37 am the Traffic Division of the San Diego Police Department received a call regarding a vehicle wiht the Licese number of XXXXXX. This vehicle is currently registered to you. IF this vehicle is no longer registered to you please disregard this letter. The person(s) calling stated a young male driver in a blue sports sedan was driving at a high rate of speed an recklessly in the area of Balboa Ave and I-805. As the listed registered owner of the vehicle, we want you to be aware of the actions of the driver of this vehicle. No enforcement action will be taken by the Police Department as a result of this call However, officer's workings in this area have been advised of this call and will take appropriate enforcement action if a violation is observed. The notice is intended to assist you in improving safety. If you need further information regarding this matter please contact Officer ********** of the San Diego Police Department Traffic Division, by mail or email at ............................ I don't know what the hell's going on there. I only drove the car that morning to my friend's house and took his car to the Tech day at alex's. That morning I didnt not drive like i usually do (crazy). So I dont know if someone is fucking with me or not, and what I should do about this matter. I know there are quite a few who resent, me, but hopefully not to the point where they have to fuck with me like this. and if I was speeding and driving recklessly in that specified area, there would have been no way in hell any driver could have gotten my plates. So what should I do about this matter? change my plates or something? any suggestion would be nice. THIS ALSO SHOWS WHY YOU SHOULD BLOCK YOUR PLATES WHEN SUBMITTING PICTURES ONLINE |

What thats ghey. Did it come in some sort of official envelope or was there like a seal or stamp on the letter? That would help authenticate the letter. If not, I would call and bitch.. say someone is writing phoney letters.

Thats so fucked up its funny. Nothing you can do really, changing yor plates won't change the description of your car. Just keep the speeds down for awhile.

ghey!
Just pull up to the police station and point to the drivers side or your car and say " does my car look blue to you?..."

contact the officer:
tell him your car is not blue and that you were not driving at all on the day in question. tell him also that your plate # could have been obtained on the internet because there are pictures of your car featured in various places on the web. this will affect you when you get pulled over next time, the cop will assume you have been goofing off. they have unlimited information in the computer i.e. education, all residences, family info, criminal record, every tiem you were ever met by an officer (pulled over but no ticket) it's just like your file at the telephone and cable company, with comments included by each officer regardign your attitude etc. it is linked with every system in the world. ontario cops know about my buddies ticket in the states, and tickets throughout the country. there is no limit, the computer must be stopped....... |

Whatever the color, I would go to your local police department (dressed nicely), ask to talk to the officer, and in your best "I couldn't be more innocent" expression, tell him you weren't driving recklessly and you think someone may have gotten your plates off the internet that had a grudge against you.
If you play it off right, the cop will be impressed you're such a fine upstanding citizen, and you probably won't be targeted in the near future whenever a cop sees your car. Much less if you ever get pulled over by that specific cop again, he might remember your demeanor and let you off. NOTE: I've had my truck marked before. This was my first vehicle when I DID drive like shit and go 70 through residentials. I had one of two green '76 Ford Couriers in town. Pretty big town, but one Courier had a camper shell and was driven by an older guy. Mine jumped flower beds and hung out at the high school. Guess which one they monitored? Before I switched vehicles, I had every cop give me a stare even if I was driving completely normal. Nonetheles, I would keep the speed down for awhile.

I was charged with engaging in a illegal speed contest a felony evasion and luckily got my charges dropped since I took a class and i was a minor as (plea bargain). I was also clocked on radar doing 91 mph. I think I would have learned my lesson now.. If I was going that fast, I dont think they could get my plates, nor notice my car was blue, because only the right front fender is visibly blue. The rest of my car is black, and its black according to the DMV. So if i was going fast, the other driver must have been going faster to notice my car was blue. the trunklid barely gives it away, esp not in the morning. I dont drive a blue sedan. Its techincally a black 2dr coupe, the description doesnt match my car, other than my plates. I have always cooperated with cops. and never acted with a negative attitude towards them. |

I like how they state that no lega action will be taken. damn right no legal action will be taken. They don't have shit on you. Just someone that got pissed you were driving too fast. Just keep it down for a month or so and you're good.

WTF? damn dude this is beginning to sound like my 510 days in Palo Alto ca.
I had a yellowish creme colored 69 2 door 510 dropped with suspension and a pumped 150HP L16 engine. I had banged one of my fenders so I replaced it with an orange one. So my buddy Dan Borton had a 2 door 510 same color with the opposite fender replaced kind of a faded red orange. hahahaha the cops kept on mixing up our cars. We both were known for doing drifts and donuts and traveling at high rates of speed all over town. Hey I was young and foolish. None the less the cops harrassed us to no end. They used to get behind me when I was doing nothing and just follow me all over town looking for something to pull me over for. they usually wound up just pulling me over and looking over the car just to try and write a ticket. It was messed . of course any of you here who know about Palo Alto know it was a notorious speed trap town. which just pissed the cops more because we usually ditched them. I did lose my drivers license for a year there . I also got a reckless driving ticket there. Funny thing is after I moved away from there I never got more than one moving violation every three to five yearss go figure. Oh well good luck Grant. Also official disclaimer here what I did when I was in high school was not the wisest. Of course we all drove in the hills above town too and we were all learning how to drive. I recommend though if you really want to pratice and learn . Start AutoXing and go to driving school. Its much wiser and safer .
