yeah... somebody posted that you could unplug the tranny sensor so that it would shift faster....
i tried it.... didn't like it, seemed to shift harder... not faster i turned the car off, and started it again, and missed the code now my tranny light is on (with the thingy plugged back in) i disconnected my battery for about 30 minutes still there any ideas? TIA Sean (i know i am a stupid bastard, but i had to try it)

There are 2 courses of action here.
1) Look on this page, or one back, and find a post along the lines of "Dumb question... resetting ECU." And reset the ecu. Or 2) Turn your car on and off 100 times through the course of normal driving, and your code will shut off. It took me about 3 weeks. -Jeff

</span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote (negular @ May 01 2002,10:04)</td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">i thought upluggin the battery for a little while, would reset the ecu</td></tr></table><span id='postcolor'>
nissans ecus has a back up memory it will rember what and when the code was tripped what mileage you were doing rpm your a/f ratio and more. so 30 minutes is not enough ram and rom <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> listen to what jeff said about resetting the ecu, but i have never heard the 100 times+ on off scenario nor do i think that will work. that will not resolve the problem the ecus memory will still be there
