Just wondering. I love my s14 but I payed $10.2k for it and I often wish I had gone with an s13 and put the remaining ~7k into mods. That would be good for a lightly modded SR swap and suspension. I think an s13 with an sr and some nice coilovers would be a lot more fun than an s14 with pretty gauges and leather seats...

But its not like you would have the 7k to spend on mod's right then and there.

IIRC you were are making monthly payments !

True, I payed 6.2k in cash (parents gave me 5k for a car) and am paying payments (@11%:o) on the remaining 4k...only 3.4k to go but exact $$$ isn't what i'm talking about. Just that it would have been nice to have a cheaper car with more go fast goodies and in my case no payments. Nobody else with an s14 feels the same?

s13 was from 89-94 (94 was convertable only) and s14 was from 95-98. The car in my sig is an s14 and in my240likenoother's sig is an s13 (I see you've meet him already )

#### I wish I bought an s13 instead of my 97 240sx. I bought my car for 12g and spent about 5g on mods and my car still maddd slow. If I spent all that money on an s13...I would have an s15 front end conversion, a running s13 engine, 180sx tailights, some suspension mods, paint job and may be a decent rims.

I'd rather have a nice new car than a stinky old car. That's my $0.02. Not to say all S13s are stinky, I think they are quite fine (fastbacks only) I fear the coupes. They are insanely ugly! And when you get older you'd probably much rather have a clean S14 than a "kidded-out" S13.

DJ Machine,
You don't see the value in owning a newer car? I think that an S13 FB is very cool, but I guess I just don't hold modding the living piss out of a car in high reguard. I've done it and I hated it. I contribute it to growing up. I can't interview at a firm with a fucking rice rocket... you know what I'm saying at all?

Actually, the "wtfever" was directed at the "s13 coupes are insanely ugly" part of the post.

I bought my S14 for 5,500. and so far i've put like $2500 in mods on it. If i got an S13 it would be the coupe and I would probly make it look like an R32, get some veilside rims and a SR20. But thats just me.

ur s14 will be just as old as an s13 in a few years n u'll appreciate having a newer car n less problems. by the time like me n u r done paying off our cars there should be some nice new mods for the s14, cheaper ones 2. i love my s14 now though a whole lot, just need some rims now.

Naw, I'm gona keep it. I really like my car, I'm just too broke with payments (and c-mas hurt a lot...still feeling it) to mod it. If I can pay it off in 2-2.5 years (my goal on a 4yr $4k loan...$4800 total if payed in 4 years) I'll be able to mod a lot then, I'll have a better job and will probably still be living at home. So 2 years she'll be slammed, turboed painted and modded up real nice

I went from S13 to the S14... used to look back, but now it's all about the S14. Actually, I drove my buddy's S13 today....as fun as it is to throw an S13 around, #### I love my car.

I had a 92 LE hatch with HICAS. . .I do miss the handling, I hated giving up HICAS. . made drifting so much easier =) Gawd that rocked. . the handling on my S14 feels slightly better than a Rustang or Cowmaro, but probably not... I had to ditch my S13 b4 it blew up, or became a rust spot in the driveway. . I'm not sorry for my S14... hehe nobody knows what it is around here!!! I love that about it =)

And it's in a LOT better shape haha

I wish I had bought an early 90's s13 as opposed to my 95. The 95 is great but I'm a broke college student with no money. I could have got an s13, done a front end conversion, and some rims for what I paid for the s14. If anyone is interested in a trade send me an email. I'm looking for a 5spd coupe.
