Can mods not make the account registration more difficult to create an account?

Another idea you can do is have new accounts have to make 20 posts before being able to create a thread.

Just throwing out ideas since this is getting annoying when i log into homepage all the threads you see is spam.

You have no idea how many threads have been posted about this very same issue the last month or so and nothing is (seemingly) being done.

The mods should atleast comment and say either "we are working diligently and this is how far we have gotten" or "we are not going to do anything". Either way, atleast the community will be aware of the situation and what is being done about it.

When I hit the "New Post" button, the first page had 20 out of 30 threads that were spam. The next several pages of my New Posts were only but slightly better.

Makes coming to this site pointless, and with so many people being ripped off on a regular basis (myself including, but made sure to file a Paypal claim in a hurry after doing my due diligence, but the time and money for shipping and install I can NEVER get back!), is making this site irrelevant more and more every single day and now has me debating selling my vehicle.

Just like the 240 owners of today, cannot stand the crowd and the direction Zilvia is turning. I guess that's what you get when the vehicles become cheap enough and all the idiots wreck them.........

And in all honesty, banning from the marketplace is so inconsistent. I have seen threads with no pictures and bumps from the OP for WEEKS, with no recourse. And I have seen MANY threads where individuals post a link to craigslist and the post stays on for weeks at a time!

This site is just going down the shithole in general just like the 240 community

and this is why I regretted paying for a premium membership years ago. Nothing was done for improvements and there were no benefits because the premie section was dead. Simply just took my money and that was it.

You really dont need one. I just did it at one point to help pay for the site but honestly its still the same slow forum its always been since I first joined back in 05.

One shouldn't have to send a PM since this is a forum wide issue and not an INDIVIDUAL user issue! This is an issue that affects every single user on here and so, this needs to be public knowledge!

An issue like this should NOT be kept behind close doors, especially if the users (INCLUSIVE/ESPECIALLY pay users) need to be made kept in the loop as to what is going on, and why the money spent is not going to forum maintenance (which SHOULD include Spam and Ad cleanup!)

I'm starting to think whoever IS in charge, is profiting from all the spam threads just like any website making money from marketing ads.

LOL. i have no idea how this could be any LESS in the domain of public knowledge. the idea of a conspiracy to keep publicly posted spam posts behind closed doors is laughable.

i'm not attacking anyone. i'm just expressing the idea that this thread is pointless. i do agree that something should be done, of course. send a pm. see what happens. i'm willing to bet that out of all the people complaining on the various threads, maybe one in ten have sent a pm about it.

No, Mods can only edit/move/delete threads and ban/unban users. Only two admins have the ability to make "backend" changes to the forum.
Just makes post whores. Already have people thinking they can post count their way into the marketplace.
Mods have no control over this and can not make these changes. Therefor they have no comment on the matter.
