Snow storm
Maryland Politics Watch: Top Snow Totals in Maryland
This article was for this past weekend fri-sat. This is today. AT 7:27 AM THIS MORNING... A WIND GUST WAS RECORDED TO 60 MPH AT MANASSAS VIRGINIA. NUMEROUS WIND GUSTS OVER 40 MPH HAVE OBSERVED AROUND THE REGION ALONG WITH WHITE-OUT CONDITIONS. IF YOU GET STRANDED IN YOUR VEHICLE... DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR TO TRY TO WALK FOR ASSISTANCE... YOU CAN QUICKLY BECOME DISORIENTED IN WIND DRIVEN SNOW AND COLD. THIS STORM WILL SUBSIDE EARLY THIS EVENING... SO WAIT IN YOUR CAR FOR EMERGENCY HELP TO ARRIVE. PERIODICALLY RUN YOUR ENGINE FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES EACH HOUR FOR HEAT. ENSURE YOUR EXHAUST PIPE IS CLEARED OF SNOW AND ICE. CRACK YOUR WINDOWS TO AVOID CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING. TIE A COLORED CLOTH TO YOUR CARS ANTENNA TO BE VISIBLE TO RESCUERS. FROM TIME- TO-TIME... MOVE YOUR ARMS... LEGS... FINGERS... AND TOES TO KEEP BLOOD CIRCULATING. No work for me. |

My wife is a teacher and school got cancelled today and it hasn't even really started snowing. FUCKING WIMPS! I have to go to work no matter what. Taking a sunday drive (in the old jetta) around the block last storm. Enjoy the day though snow days off are cool, I am just bitter...

Yea, this has to be the most snow I've seen in NoVA since '95
Took these quick pics right now outside my room...it looks hazy cause that's from the high speed wind gust.

It's not even bad out right now. Moreso wind and rain than actual snow.

Haha, I spoke too soon. It just got terrible again. Can't see a block away, roads are accumulating quick.
Might call out of work today.

I live in central Jersey, near the border with PA....if you look at the snow total maps, we are basically in the heart of it.
Right now it is coming down insanely heavy and the wind is starting to pick up. Trees are fully covered, it looks really nice.

Damn, that's how it should look like in my neck of the woods. Here in Toronto, it's just a little bit. I did have to shovel some, but I didn't have to dig my way out of my house LOL...

how the hell do you think I feel? I live in Texas. And we've been getting slamed by the snow too. This is crazy, its been like 5 years since we've seen snow like this. You can see the 240 there, I have bald tires on the back too. lol, I was driving it so it doesn't have as much snow on it as their is on the ground.

Snoverkill!
Stayed home most of last week and wrenched on Ruckus, it was great. Now I have to slog through this slushy crap to get to work in DC. I hope it all melts soon. |
