SR20det start up problems HELP!!!! PLZZZ

ok so we jus got done doing a s13 SR swap ina 89 240sx. everything is connected and wiring is complete. but when we went 2 start it, it would not start. there is spark, and fuel but there seems 2 be a problem with lack of vacume 2 operate the pressure regulator. so fuel is not being dipursed in the combustion. we took offf the regulator and pluged the fuel line derectly 2 the rail and started it and it start up for a bit when we would fluctuate the vacume by blocking it off. there is really low vacume form the manifold.

anybody got any clue 2 whas going on!!! cuz we don konw. all we know its a vacume issue. PLZ help we have been on this matter 4 2days now. thank you

are you sure it isn't something dumb like the ground at the back of the valve cover.........i don't know how much vacuum you would build if your motor is just cranking over. Have you tried replacing the fpr???

try this...

crank over motor, when it doesnt start...

pull out a couple injector harnesses and try cranking it over, if it stumbles to life, then ur prolly got bad wirirng, causing ecu to dump fuel.

honest, try it

its around where the spark plug cover is, it usually connects to a spade connector where the hardline for the brake booster is.

TO the original poster, fuel pressure regulator on the return line, fuel filter on the inline.
