cross threaded the axle...specs please
cross threaded the axle...long and frustrating story :hammer: does any one know the pitch of the axle? or better yet, could anybody tell me whats the right die or tap (i always get them mixed up) to get? like pitch and all that good stuff...thanks in advance

I don't remember offhand, but it's close to an M24x1.25, very hard to find size. You're better off finding an axle.

thats what i was thinking too because the unusable threads are right at the end...just imagine the first three-four threads, then a 2-3mm gash perpendicular to the threads...you think i should grind it off or just go along the threads with a hacksaw/exacto to cut thru the grooves the gash made?..for the sake of the specs i said that i cross threaded it, but its just a gash...seeing how r240na said its a hard to find size, for the time being, ill just try to rethread it somehow via ghettoness...

yah man axels are dime a dozen, actaully I had to pay about 50 for mine shipped, so anything you can get lower is a decent deal. shipping is the biggest thing, they are like 25 bux picked up from places.

you can get a axel rethreading kit from advanced for like 36 bucks. worked for me many times. even though you already fixed it
