I just went to brembo.com and a brake kit (pads, rotors, calipers) for the 240 is 3K US.  How come brembo rotors on ebay are so cheap?  Are they real, or is someone making a brembo clone?

Because they dont have the MASSIVE 4 piston Calipers. All your get from Ebay are Rotors. With the Brembo Big Brake Kit you get New Bigger Calipers, Bigger Rotors, Bigger Pads, etc. Its great when people drive my car, the brakes are insane compared to anything 99.9% of people drive. I always tap my brake by accident and end up smakin my face on the roof of my car.

You can find them for like $2k

Oh, and mind you the brakes look small since they are on 18&quot; wheels. The rotors themselves are 13.1&quot; and its required you have a 17&quot; wheel just to clear the calipers <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Ive had em for about 4 months now. No signs of rust or anything, but Im in CO.

Shops carry them. Check out www.overboost.com they have them for like 2300$ or so. Look around and you might find a little better of a deal.

I've never called this place, but they're supposed to have dirt-cheap products:

Brake Warehouse
1-800-814-0702 (9a-9p EDT)

They carry all brands, brakes, clutches, suspension, so on and so forth.

I accidently bumped into these last week while looking for new rotors. &nbsp;$2000 for the basic kit - $3000 if you want cryo-treatment! &nbsp;I can't imagine needing to stop that hard... but it sure would be fun on a track to be able too. &nbsp;BTW: &nbsp;the Brembo rotors you see everywhere else are real - and go for about $150/axle. &nbsp;My standard warning would be that all those I have seen on Ebay are slotted and x-drilled (good for looks, not as good for performance). &nbsp;Also, all rotors will rust if exposed to water and allowed to sit. &nbsp;As soon as you drive, it will be worn off - it's just a characteristic of the steel. &nbsp;

not all SE's were 5 bolt. &nbsp;unfortunately, ive got a 4bolt non-abs non-lsd. &nbsp;anyways, brembo does sell a kit for all corners. &nbsp;as for rusting, i'm talking about the center part, not the part that comes in contact with the caliper/pad. &nbsp;

regarding the rotors on ebay, etc., if you look at the ones on ebay, they're slotted and x-drilled. &nbsp;west's are only x-drilled. &nbsp;plus his are way bigger. &nbsp;how come brembo doesn't sell the other ones (the ones seen on ebay) on their site?

When purchasing x-drilled rotors and depending on the vendor you get themn from, they offer a nickel plating that is added to all areas of the rotor not touched by the pad.....totally stops all rust from forming. Had mine for three months also and no sign yet:)
