intake manifold
So one of my hoses is leaking coolant
from under the top part of the intake maifold. I want to replace it my self since I'm dead broke due to past mechanic labor. I have 96 twincam ka24de. I been searching but haven't found anything on how to remove and install the manifold.I have the fsm but really doesn't show a clear picture.is there any tread showing how to do this? also is there anything i need to know before i start trying to messing with it. |

Its not too bad the only thing i remember is some of the towards the fire wall are a little fun getting back in and makes sure the egr tube is disconnected took me a few mins to realize thats what was holding it on still. Pretty easy though Make sure you scrape of old gaskets well though as lame as and straight forward as its sounds. But not to bad of a job. Good luck.

The paper gaskets always tear so go ahead and order new ones. Release fuel pressure before pulling the supply hose from the rail. Remove the two lower brackets that secure the plenum to the block and throw them away. Everything else is pretty self explanatory.
