New rebuild (ka24de) , sputtering and backfiring.

Just looking for some insight on some help with this issue. Just got my Ka rebuilt (stock, for now) and when "trying" to drive it tends to sputter , cut out and backfire around 3k. Idles around 900-1k. Thinking maybe injectors problems ? Or spark plugs ?

3 k is usually MAF sensor if it doesn't want to rev passed that
Coolant temp sensor often causes running rich/backfire

I would check those along with timing
