Cloyes timing chain on ka24e

Quick question for anyone that used or knows anyone with a Rockauto Cloyes brand timing chain replacement kit for their ka24e. Just received mine today and it's a double roller (dual sprocket) replacement for the cam/crank/chain. Just wondering if anyone ran into any issues? It looks like the clearances should be ok... it's that 'should' that worries me.

So to anyone out there looking to buy from ROCKAUTO or CLOYES think again. There are several differences that would render this kit completely useless.

guide 1 where the tensioner would sit is too short > ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting
another image of that > ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

difference in chain (double roller cloyes vs stock single) > ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting
again crank sprocket sticks out further > ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

the whole reason i'm doing this mess > ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting
> ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

So in short, don't order from Rockauto and definitely don't ever buy a Cloyes kit part # 94163S

I'm almost positive you got the dual cam. I got the cloyes kit for my ka24e and it fit perfect. Just finished doing it. Make sure to replace the front main seal the 2 valve cover seals and the oil pick up tube o-ring

For what its worth. I bought my OSK kit(dual cam) from FRSport. Everything is weighty like oem, and fits identically to the OEM. No issues

it came with a single big camshaft sprocket...

i'm pretty sure the kit is just completely wrong and useless or whoever boxed it was just having a bad day.

This is old but I was searching for something else, anyways. I used a "Cloyes" kit, all is well, fit fine. Got it from autozone IIRC then again i been half drunk most of this rebuild
