BOV , 2 ports question.
http://www.cxracing.com/product/cxra...T/images/2.jpg
so im temporarily using a CX racing greddy knockoff bov, recirculated. what is the bottom port used for? I heard you connect it to a boost source or something, is it okay if I plug it? I noticed air can be sucked or blown through that small port. I tested it by blowing air into the recirculation hose, and air came out through the bottom port, also when you suck air , air will be sucked through that bottom port. since the recirculation is on the intake, I think unmetered air is being sucked through that small port. Ive been having some boost hesitation at a certain throttle around 3800 rpmish. but once you step harder on the throttle the problem goes away. so I plugged my recirc and let the bov run vta, problem disappeared. So ima assume it has something to do with that port. if I plug it will it cause any problems? or just tap into one of the charge pipes and/or t off the wg source? thanks and let me know (note, I already boost tested my system at 10psi, bov is not leaking. stock sr20det t25 redtop 7psi) |
