Looks like Strange Engineering struts on the drag car, spindle integrated into the bottom of the strut.

it's using typical promod/A-arm for front suspension. Not much left of that car that's actually 240sx. He's got a build thread on ka-t.org

These are the coolest extended FLCA I've ever seen. They are also priced amazingly:

This is the roll center, suspension pickup, and steering angle modification thread.

Look cool, and heavy. Also no inner heim joint so caster adjustment is limited. Weird that they're wider than stock.

yeah, the lack of inner heim makes me flaccid.

the increased width would limit drift applications, but could be nice for road racing.

Anybody see the new grip oriented knuckles from GKTech? Probably going to be selling my GKTech drift knuckles for those.

I'm about to purchase their front set and they only sell the V3 on their site? Am I missing something? PBM came out with a new set is that what you mean?

In-cabin adjustable rear sway bar on Chris Forsberg's Z. I'm guessing there's a cam profile inside that tube.

IIRC, an adjustable swaybar like that works because as you rotate that flat endlink, it's resistance to bending changes. No need for a cam profile.

Yeah it's been out for a while. The cost is a little exhorbitant IMHO, but it's interesting to see a caster-biased kit. Stewy loves caster haha.

One of these days I'll update the OP, I swear, hahah.

Quick question guys. I am putt on my front driftworks knuckly. The top of the spindle is hitting the bottom bracket of the coilover ever so slightly.

I have two options,

1. flip the coilover bracket

2. grind a little of the knuckle <1.5mm on the edge. (I went with this one, but the coilover bolts on a little tight to the knuckle...

What you guys think?

Thanks!

I'm definitely getting a set.
It'd be cool if they made the steering arm a touch shorter to speed up the steering a tiny bit.

The ackerman setup on the drift knuckles doesn't work well for road racing.

I currently have the GKTech drift knuckles but I autocross, not drift. They're better than stock knuckles for me but the grip knuckles would be even better in my case. If you want the extra lock and adjusted ackerman, go drift knuckles, if you just want the fixed geometry, go grip knuckles.

Slider, I'd say you're fine having ground off a bit of the knuckle, those things are pretty beefy and 1-2mm isn't gonna change much.

You've never driven a car with shorter tie rod pickups have you? You still have 2.25 turns lock to lock, it's nothing crazy.

Been looking into getting an angle kit for my s13, and came across the "Unicorn Angle Kit"
LINK:http://www.driftknuckles.com/product...corn-angle-kit

Seems to be a pretty basic setup just seems the rank would over center like a mofo, can't seem to find any reviews or anything online of it, any feedback?

^^if they have cut and shut the knuckles like we do over here then you would want to move the rack forward an inch and not a few MM like those offset bushes do^^.

I've searched Silvia and google and can't quite get an answer. I've messaged gktech and pbm and they both vary from answers.

The pbm top camber plate (16mm) and spacer (7mm) according to pbm are able to be used and would avoid cutting of the strut top.

According to messsges from gktech they say you will need their top plate (20mm) and if it's an s13 a 8mm spacer in order to not cut the strut top.

Short story pbm says 23 mm clears gktech says 28mm has anyone actually purchased either of these sets would like to elaborate on which is the correct one or what makes them vary in size other than I assume the allowable clearance of the dampener screw top.

They're probably both correct due to design differences between each brand's plate. PBM's requires the 23mm to clear and GkTech requires 28 like they said. Doesn't mean either is incorrect it means they're designed differently.

Agreed. I had MA Motorsports knuckles and a HICAS steering rack. There was a ton of angle (too much actually); but honestly, the steering response didn't feel any different than stock. Not twitchy or anything.

Also, I know these are terribly wrong, but not sure exactly how. I figured you guys would have fun tearing them apart.

Those arms hurt my eyes. They will sit flatter/lower like they are correcting roll center, but the centerline of the ball joint to the centerline of the spindle is all that matters. Plus putting the kink in the arm introduces a potential bending stress since there is no longer metal in a straight line between the ball joint and the pivot pt of the bushing.
