help with my POS sr20! (vids & pics)

well i got my motor in (s13 redtop sr20) but still running into some problems.

i have a nipple on the intake manifold side that i cant figure out where it goes? any one have a clue, heres a pic:

and i checked over my entire wiring harness (ka harness) and i cant find a clip or anything for this. can i run without it or is it important:

and last but not least when i had everything in except for that hose and the ground clip, this is what my car would do. it wouldnt turn over or anything, the clock would just lose it's light and that all.

Just cap the nipple off if you cant find anything that goes to it.

The sensor is for the temp gauge in your dash.

Is your starter hooked up right? Which lower harness did you use?

it's a stock ka harness wired for sr20's i'll cap the nipple off and see how that goes, when i had the manifold on, coolant would just come leakin out.

that nipple is fpr the throttle body. Its for emission purpose however i would reccomend connecting it if you live in a cold climate as it improves drivabilty.

does the starter click at all when you turn the key?

if it doesnt, you might not have it wired right. if it does, your batt might have enough juice or the solenoid is dead.

when i first did my swap, the starter would just click. i swapped the solenoid from an extra starter i had and it fired right up.

i hear the relay click once, but the starter doesnt do anything. and the car was always a 5-speed. what about that sensor, how would i figure that out, the temp gauge worked before, but i checked the harness and theres no clip or anything.

Dont do that. charge your battery.

the nipple is for coolant to your Tb as already stated. you can loop it to the return side of the tb loop or just get the hose. and the coolant temp sensor is correct, the thing is useless. get a real gauge.

i guess i will try and find a master cylinder and try that, but like i'll push the clutch down and it's real easy, and sometimes it wont come back up, and if it does it will come up like an inch

from the slave cylinder, we would pump the clutch like 10 times, hold it, then bled at the slave, and repeat..

i bet you still have air in the line, try doing one pump at a time (pedal down, open valve till fluid stops, close valve pedal up, repeat) . it's tedious but it works better. or splurge on a speed bleeder
