t25/t28 hybrid

Here's my question, I have a blown t25 and a blown t28-bb turbo as i rebuild my t25, can i just put the t28's bigger compressor wheel/housing on the t25 and end up with a hybrid or is there a difference in shaft size or something that make this impossible?......Thanks y'all!

not sure if you can "bolt right on"
BUT you can go to a machine shop and have housing "bored" to fit...

good idea!!!!
please lmk if it becomes reality..

You can have the T25's compressor housing bored out slightly to fit the 60mm exducer T28 wheel in there.

Thanks guys, any body else?, please chime in!, I know a lot of us would like to get around the ballbearing issue on these T28'S, I haven't taken them apart yet but would like to know if it's possible or not.

for the love of god no. it's called BALANCING. You cant just take a wheel off one and stick it on another, it will be out of balance. with possible hilarious results. Well, you wont think it's hilarious, but.. some of us will.

When a turbo is rebuilt the CHRA is dynamically balanced. Read the original post.
