Muy enojado!
So far my ebay Greddy knock off oil pan has been not so good. First the hardware for the oil baffles was not with the pan. No biggie, go down to ACE and spend some time hunting for it, woo found it thats done. Then I put it on and one of the holes is offcenter. No biggie, I'll lengthen the side of the hole. Thats ghey but I can work around it, I mean I did cheap out and not get the original so thats not to big of a deal I can handle it. BUT NOW I'm pushed over the edge. THE PAN IS LEAKING!!!!!!!! Not from any of the holes, or even the one where it is missing. But through the pan. Leaking through the pan because of its extreme porusness. I'm going to get some JB weld for now, but I'm frickin pissed.

Damn. I was thinking about picking one of those up. Maybe some are different than others. Which seller did you buy yours from? BTW, can you get some pics of this leaking? I was hoping I didn't have to fork out for a greddy.

well thats the only reason I can see why this would happen at all. The casting is rushed far more than with the Greddy pan and I cant imagine the quality/thickness of the aluminium matching Greddy as well. I believe this to be a freak occurence but if it can happen to me it can happen to you. If you like to take risks then yeah, go for it. I'm about to contact the seller in a minute here to try and work something out and hopefully they work with me. If not anybody in California want to go over there and kick some ass for me? The holes not matching and the pan LEAKING are definitely not acceptable. The leaking is coming from the rear left of the pan by one of the hidden holes, I would take pictures but I dont have a digital camera nor do I know how to post pics. I'm about to go to the store to get some jb weld for the temporary fix but this is frickin ghey. KandyFlip I'll probably get the Tomei since it isnt cast. I dont like the cast oil pan idea because of its cracking and breaking compared to denting if impacted. These were just cheap and I had not heard of anyone having problems so I took the risk. Damn my luck

So amazingly they arent an ebay seller anymore. At the time they had great feedback and had been active for a long time. I also tried calling their store and they diddnt pick up the phone. Lets see if they respond to email.
www.speedaction.net is their site

Better save up those nickels and crack open your piggy bank to get the tomei. $500 is a lot to pay for an oil pan. Why don't you just fix the leak? It seems like you already fixed the hardware problem. Small price to pay for such a low price product.
BTW, a lot of people have talked about the porousness of the knockoff greddy stuff. I mostly heard about it when people were talking about the manis. Doesn't surprise me that it's happening with the oil pan. Same can probably be said about s14 diff cover as well. |

this is the exact reason i didnt go with the knock off intake manifold, not worth the hassle if it happens to leak through the casting.
I would rather put a stock one back on than to run the POS oil pan, not worth the risk. |

When I purchase my Greddy manifold I will get the original. Its harder to notice vacuum leaks than it is oil leaks and I'm not happy with knock offs at this point in time. I also had no idea a Tomei cost that much, shjit!!
