89' S13 KA-t SOHC Build

Hi-low! Name's Steve from East TN. I just finished my first ever s13 build. Never owned a 240 but I've had several other cars but always wanted a toy to drive on the weekends.

/begin

June 2010 - picked up a 1-owner two tone coupe in South Carolina. Drove it back home, parked it, and started the build.

Lost interest for a while...built a few other cars...worked on the car here and there. Finally got motivated to finish it a few months ago.

Hardest part of the build for me was fabricating a downpipe. I live in a small town and no shops around had any experience doing this sort of thing so I had to give it a go.

Finally got everything mounted and ready to go. So it was time to move on to the easy cosmetic stuff.

After paint...

10/5/12

/end

Kind of embarassed with how long it took. I kept getting sidetracked and the car would sit for months at a time. All in all, I'm happy with the end result and I'm having a blast with it right now.

t3/t4 .57 GSP turbo
EMUSA BOV & 38mm wastegate (7 psi)
CXracing FMIC & piping kit for SR
Custom 2.5'' downpipe
Walbro 255 fuel pump
AEM Wideband & Boost Gauge
SAFC II
Yoshihara DY-37c 18x10 +15 all around
EMUSA coilovers
eBay 3'' exhaust

More pics to come...waiting on a few other goodies to come in.

^ I'm running a 5mm spacer all around to clear suspension so I'm at +10. A mild roll/pull was needed in the rear. Just a roll was needed up front.

Nice I'm working on my 1st car & 240 also
I got another question
I just got & installed Megan coils on my 240
I wanna drop my car just low enough to get rid of the wheel gap
but for some reason it looks like my wheels pop out more on one side why is that

Do you have adjustable camber plates? Post a pic and we may be able to help more.

You and me both! It's starting to pick up a bit, though. Much more tuning options out there than before.

I don't think they've decided on a location yet - the previous was kind of in an odd spot but they had a good turn out so hopefully they move it. You'll have to add them on facebook.

I'm happy with it but I'm wanting to get rid of the SAFC and run Nistune sometime this winter. Also want to pull the engine and clean up the bay a little more.

i dig the two-tone; overall nice car!

only suggestion I would make is to get a brake master cylinder heat shield, but besides that the car looks amazing

Stock internals. My original plan was to rebuild but once I opened it up everything looked pretty nice. I basically just refreshed everything...new gaskets, new oil and water pump, and cleaned everything.

I have a seafoam green two-tone coupe with a single cam. Stock, got it less than a year ago and your car is huge inspiration. Simple, but so nice. Pignose ftw
