Exclamation eBay 5-Lug Swap FAIL

My brother purchased the eBay 5-lug swap for $310 a while back, we installed it no problems early, but after only a few months of daily driving on KTS coilovers & 17x9's/17x10's his right front wheel bearing is making horrible noises, when you turn left it gets worse, when you turn right it goes away. It's not a wheel rub, it's not the tire, there is no spacer, the lug nuts were tight on both wheels, both times.

I haven't found any threads searching on google about this happening, but i've heard it from friends. Don't buy eBay 5-lug

FRSport has the OEM Nissan 5-Lug Swap for an S14 for about $750, which is not bad at all if you consider people sell them all day used with 100,000+ miles for $500.

S14s use an integrated bearing in the front... it's not press in like s13s. My Ichiba hubs have been good for 9k.

There is a specific torque spec for s14 front hubs. Impacting them will fuck them up... Mike Kojima found this out the hard way. Lol

My Ebay 5 lugs swap has been good for 3+ years. Only until I hit a curb I had an issue.

hah sucks ^ but the ebay front hubs have extended studs so if your using those tuner lug nuts you get on ebay or autozone then those lug nuts dont snug the wheel down. you need the stock lugs that have a open end or els deeper lug nuts.

I've had mine on for about a month...I drowned the bearings in grease before installing. hope that keeps them from failing

Yes, Ether your race is damaged or the carrier is cracked. Is the click once per revolution or random?

You will want to fix it before you gouge the spindle on the front or carrier on the rear.
