Bought a used Power FC

I bought a used power fc and it came with no instructions, manual, or installation info.

It is the D-Jetro so I have to wire the IAT and MAP sensor. The guy that sold it to me had the IAT tapped into his cold pipe about 5 inches away from the throttle body. I know lots of guys tap their intake manifolds, but can the cold pipe be tapped with the same results?

Also, where can I find wiring info on the IAT and MAP sensor? I checked APEXi's website and couldnt find it.

The map sensor should plug into the side of the power fc ecu, it should have its own harness and you shouldn't have to wire anything on your own.

I have my IAT on my cold pipe about a foot from the throttle body and it works fine no problems.

The IAT harness is to be spliced into your main engine harness at where it plugs into the ecu. I called apexi to get this because for some reason my power fc came with an rb26 manual.

IAT is the intake temperature sensor, it is supposed to go on the cold pipe as to measure the air temperature going into the motor.

If you are talking about the MAP sensor, you should NOT tee it off anything as that may cause wrong reading and you can blow your motor. You should ONLY run the MAP sensor off its own bung off the intake manifold.

No problem. That diagram is for S13 Blacktop SR20DET engine from the 180SX (non type-x). You should be able to call up apexi usa and get them to fax you a diagram. Oh and also the polarity on the IAT does NOT matter since its a thermistor (Thermal resistor).

One last question. On the ECU pinout one of the wires is a simple ground but what is the other?

I lied. I've still got more questions.

Does the orientation of the IAT or the MAP sensor matter? I'd like to tap the IAT to the underside of my cold pipe to keep it out of sight.
