A few questions about fittings and SS lines...
So I'm just staring to redo a lot of my lines. A few of the lines I have to tap a hole and then get te correct fitting for it. An example of this is the fitting from my valve cover that feeds to my catch can.
What's the difference between AN and NPT? I know what they stand for but which one should I be using? And why? How do I know what size of fitting goes into a specific hole size? I assume there is a better way then eye balling it. I also have a question in relation to a specific line. I'll post a picture tonight when I finally get home. Thanks guys. |

go with an lines, there much better looking and will suit all your needs. AN fittings go by 1/16 basically. Easiest way to figure out the size is and /16 to the end of each fitting size
So if you have a 1/2" hole you'll need a -8 fitting. (8/16") If your doing your catch can lines i run a -10 from valve cover to catch can.. |
