*searched* 5speed swap - 5th gear, neutral, rotation sensors
what up everyone.
i'm about to start on my 5 speed swap this weekend. i printed out and read every faq and guide that i could find. seems pretty straightforward when it comes to the mechanical part of the swap. one thing thats not so clear to me, is all the sensors that are mentioned. speed sensor, rotation sensor, reverse light switch, neutral position switch, 5th gear sensor. do i have to buy all those, or is the car already equipped with those? probably a dumb question, but i am pretty worthless when i comes to wiring lol... anyway, any detailed help would be greatly appreciated! |

They usually come with the manual transmisson unless the seller took them out.
Some plug right into the auto harness while others require some mild wiring. |

The one by the shifter is the neutral position switch.
Under the tranny/shifter coming in at a 45 is the speed sensor. The one in the center by the seam is the 5th gear. one closer to the clutch fork is the reverse sensor. the crank sensor is on top of the bellhousing. |
