So I stopped by Finishline Products and Services to see how everything was going on the cage. He was only able to get the base plates in because of issues with the tubes being shipped out but its coming together.
So far it looks good 9kracing didnt cut out the holes so, I also decided to get to work on cutting them out, Tested my skills on the first row and it didnt come out to shabby.... So I continued cutting and filing... Action Shot And it came out to this..... Better than theirs lol But thats it thus far. I know ive been saying that ill update with cage content but its taking a little bit longer than anticipated so when its done ill update on that. Ive aslo collected the battery and last piece of steel braided hose to complete the fuel system. All I need now is to get it over to the driveshaft shop and itll be ready to go. Thanks again for reading guys. |

I was thinking about cutting them but looking at all the other ones they only had cut out those three holes. I'm guessing it's for structural reasons but for now I'm just going to leave it with just the three cut out |

Update
So first off I got to work on my hood Marked my points and went to town. And here it is all cut and riveted. It bubbles up a little on the back from the excess material on it. No big deal. went to primer whole hood First couple of coats of black And finished and cleared. I did 6-7 coats of black and 4 coats of clear. And some pics of the cage It's almost done. I'll have a double door bar on my side btw |

It's really inexpensive for something that improves the look of a harness so much. It's really great stuff, just make sure you buy in bulk.... It's always better to have more than to not have enough.

This next couple of updates will be the rebuild throughout the rest of the month and early march.
Since I wasn't able to do much last weekend since I got the car back at 5 on Sunday, I'll actually be able to have the time to complete everything that needs to get done on the car it'll be the final stretch to finish everything off before the 2013 season. Here's this weekends story in a collage of pictures. Got the car pushed into the garage to get the gears going. it was 40* degrees outside here in Florida haha I then got all the wires re ziptied to the cage and got everything tucked away so I can finish the cuts on the dash and put it in. All my cutting wheels broke and didn't have time to run and get some so I'll finish that next week Did a quick check off all the bolts on the suspension and made sure everything was buttoned up and ready to go New fuel lines coming this week!!! Also got my harnesses put in and got my racersdata sticker put on, Got one hood pin installed and pushed it back away because it got late and have a busy day tomorrow so no late night working Racersdata is the little square thing, its pretty cool. It's a QR code that when you scan it it then directs you to my cars page and shows you all the modifications and background info on the car Finishline got their vinyl in and I'll have my windshield sticker next week, I have a ton of things coming in the mail and should have a busy weekend next week thanks for reading!! Updates coming soon |
