Legal practice track/lot in the East Bay.
Is anyone aware of any legal track or lot areas in the East Bay that you will not get fined for practicing at?
THAT ARE LEGAL!!!!!

Are you kidding?
There are some hit and run places. Me and my brothers went down to the shipping yards and hit a few corners then bounced. Tried the same thing the next night and where escorted out by a police cruiser before we had even made it all the way in. Same for some industrial parks, slid for a bit then got out. In hind sight, pretty stupid. If you are bent on it get a few friends and some walkie-talkies and go find an industrial park. |

The best I found is a deadend street that has enough space to do donuts and enough space for a beginner to practice doing 180s. Sucks but thats the only place I know of where you can stay for hours and nobody would come since its in an industrial section. I only go late at night or Sundays but its lost its fun. Otherwise, the best lots I know of are the hit-and-run type.

Its not that small of a street. I took this picture there:
Enough room for small things and its surrounded by warehouses that are closed on nights and Sundays. Yeah its a long ride from East Bay. My point was to look for something similair in a warehouse distrct. |

I do not know about the Bay, but here in Sac there are these cats called the Sac Nuts who get permission to do tricks in parking lots @ industrial parks.
What about the Naval base @ Alameda? I was thinking about the closed down Air Force base here. I think that a runway would be big enough. Man some of the hangers are big enough to set up an indoor track. Ooooh polished floor, mega slides. |

Yes I have...and I have seen them here in person. Pros or not they stepped up and asked somone about using their lot. They also use the lots for practice not just for shows.
Trust me I know that most prop managers are going to say " No way Jose", but it only takes one to say "Yes" |

never go to alameda.....after a good 15 min session...i made the mistake of manji'n in the huge open lot....only to have a cop roll by and catch me in the act. T__t...i got a speed contest ticket...my friend was driving behind me...so i guess he thought we were racing.... ....if thats wut they call racing over in alameda..then pfff...iono. buncha crack head cops...i tried explaining and then he busted out the ol classic line " you want me to tow your car???"
stay away from alameda, fremont, hayward. |
