so altamont, in all their awesomeness, promoted a free track day for nascar, roadrace, and drift. all you need is either an altamont license or a drift battle competition license, which cost money. but if you already had one, it's free

so we rolled up there today, and they were charging $25 at the gate for "insurance." and not checking licenses. fuckin magicians, turning a free day into a $25 and shit.

Nice pics Andrew!!! Yah it was pretty messed up showing up at the track with only $19 thinking it was in fact a free day... and then only getting 3 runs with an hour in between each LOL

Oh well... I'll just have to pay to drive at one of the DRIFTxBATTLE events to figure my car out LOL

Yea it was pretty messed up coming to the track thinking it was free and having to pay 25 bux. And like Jay said only getting a run every hour sucked. If i knew it was going to be like like that i wouldnt have came. Well hopefully the next open track days will be better.

Hey did they really have that "i love drift" thing on that house? I didnt even notice that....

Eventhough the drivign was preety wack..it was funn meeting up with the rest of the drifting community again, and i met alot of cool new people!

Yeah it was cool meeting a lot of new people out there. Met too many people that day that i probably forgot most of the peoples name that i met haha. Having to wait in line wasnt so bad because thats where we all got to meet new people.

I didnt really like how they set up the track at the end but since they had a really long line. That track layout was best for track time.

Darius its all good. Ill see you on the 15th anyways and we have the rest of the drift season as well.

The track didnt think as many people were going to come as showed up, plus those two late models and two midgets messed the schedual up. Also the first layout of the track didn't promote fast runs. But you have to admit towards the end of the day it got alot faster. Next week should be alot better. Also some of you guys should come out and grip with me, I had tons of fun, helping out in pregrid, then mashing with the little buzz bombs!

It was a long day. I was sad that i didnt get to really drift my car. All i got to do was drive a parade lap and drift the infield. I was out there trying to show the new owner of the car how to drive it.

) I got a real quick glimpse of his face, but he pretty much owned the track aside from George.

We got there at 12 because thats what the site said and had the track to ourselves for a good amount of time, nonstop runs. Then people started coming. The altamont staff didnt know how to handle the drifters so they just said to pay 25$ for insurance.

thanks man, my car is pretty messed up right now tho, my runs should ahve been alot cleaner, i got some fuel/spark cut problem in 3rd gear, a bent rear shock from previous crash, and still on 15s.......

should be better soon tho
