Engine bay painting question

I'm stripping the paint on my engine bay for a reaping and inevitably also stripping the seam sealer. I've seen builds where people tack weld the potions of sheet metal that were once joined by seam sealer. I like this idea because it adds possible rigidity to the chassis (this is a drift car) but I'm afraid it will look tacky and not flawless. My question is wether I re apply seam dealer to where I stripped it? Or anybody that's encountered this problem have another solution? Thank you
