my s14 autocross project

i just thought i would post some pics of my current autocross car i am working on. i just yesterday finished installing my cage and seat. tonight i am working on fabricating some door panels out of .040 sheet aluminum powder coated black that i bought last night. i also have to paint the inside of the car and the bars, i bought the paint i will be painting them the same color as the car. the one pic of the steering wheel is the adapter i machined to get the quick disconnect to work with the momo wheel. let me hear some feedback

Looks pretty clean of a job, but quick question...is this car a future solo 1 autocrosser, or just your once a month local autocrosser (solo 2)? I'm hoping it's something your looking at taking nationals, or it would seem a little over kill. Or perhaps your thinking bigger picture with NASA and what have you...please enlightment as to future plans of this racer.

the car competed in solo1 last year and will continue too this year also.. last year i did not have a cage and saw a couple of rollovers and kind of made me nervous. i probably did go a little overkill bu i would rather be safe than sorry. i would like to continue competing in solo1 events for the next few years and see what happens from there. i really like doing the autocross better than w2w racing because i like to push myself further and harder than the last run. with the w2w racing there is too much of a chance of wrecking my car and i really dont have the funds to keep putting it back together after every weekend...and with the way i like to compete, i WOULD be putting it together

Solo1 seems like a great chance to get into competition without all the crazies in W2W possibly bashing you.

Probably just like the Time trial's with NASA, and THSCC, etc... just SCCA's version.

So cage is optional in solo1? I thought you had to have at least a roll bar.
