s13 is it possiable to FRY your instrument cluster?

just basically completed my first sr swap but have been having a problem with my gauge cluster for like a month the car was a sohc witch i knew the tach wouldnt work so i ordered what i thought was a JDM cluster but im gonna assume i got screwed because nothing worked on that cluster, i had everything on my sohc cluster but the speedo & tach. today i put in a cluster from a dohc and everything worked ( dont know about speedo but had a tach) it worked than i went drive around my neighborhood and before i even got outta the drive way everything stopped working. im pretty positive i shorted something out (like a dumb ass) i dont have any interior in my car and the cluster was just temp. supported by zip ties but it shifted alittle and stopped. i popped the 10A fuse thats labeled meters or gauges i think but once i replaced it nothing changed so im curious maybe theres another fuse somewhere or something i can check before i return the dohc cluster to the junkyard for a new one, they gave me a 90 day warrenty on it so it wouldnt be the end of the world if i ruined it.

but this whole problem is getting really annoying so any help would be sick.

Yes it may happen, you can burn the circuit tracks behind the cluster. I've seen before, hope you didn't fry anything but don't get your hopes up in case it's fucked up.
