I have a Tanabe racing medallion on my 99 prelude (dont know if that makes a difference) and it sounds great! I dont know how loud it is with the silencer in it but it's loud as sh*t with it off. It doesnt have the annoying "bees in a coffee can" sound either - nice and deep. Sorry I can't get a sound clip of it. It looks nice too!

i had custom piping with a Tanabe muffler on my car (1995 240sx KA24DE) and i hated it. it was really loud even with the silencer in. and i dont mean a nice loud sound. it was rather raspy in my opinion.

Do not buy the racing medallion. I have rode in a certain prelude with this exhaust and it's louder than it should be. It might be more quiet with a turbo though. IMO it attracts more attention than it's worth and doesn't sound the greatest either.

i use to have a tanabe g medallion, it sounded awsome, one of the best sounding exhaust IMHO. it is not too annoying loud, and its very deep. the reason a custom exhaust with the tanabe muffler did not sound good, might be because there was no resonator. the g medallion is a huge muffler plus it had a resonator. the quality is excelent too.

I got my 80mm universal racing medallion for 140 shipped with a silencer on ebay. good deal! I'm doing custom piping so we'll see how it sounds. I've liked all the ones I've heard.
