last night it rained and this morning i found my spare tire well was flooded with water and my trunk carpeting was wet (in the very back). I thought it was leaking thru my tailights, but there is no sign of moisture or water there either. I dont know whats going on, and I'm frikken pisssed. Anybody know what I can do to stop this leaking? or where should I even start looking??

Check the weather stripping. Maybe you have a big hole?

I dont see one, the weather stripping seems fine, but I'll check again, I just can't believe this is happening to me.. I pretty much have sh** for luck. I had more than enough problems with this car. Sometimes I wish i did wait and get a Prelude or GTI or something.. dammit.

How much water was there? Sounds like a big leak, next time it rains (or break out a hose maybe) sit in your truck and see where it's coming from. Sounds odd that this has happened all of a sudden.

has ur car been in an accident before?
my friends car has gotten hit in the trunk's side before and water always gets in when it rains from the wheel well i think
check for if there might have been any impacts and inspect those areas

That sucks - that's only supposed to happen on s13's

Good advice above - although I would just peek through the rear seat - not get in the trunk. Also, check where your spoiler mounts and the CHMSL.

check the spots where the new tails u put in touch the trunk lid...... there could be somethign there that allows the water to get in like a space or hole

When I wrote that I miss read it and thought he said "truck" instead of "trunk" so i thought his truch had a leak in the cab. Don't know where i got that from. Still get in there and find the leak and attack it full force

Shouldn't be from the wheel well. The car was sitting and he found it flooded. Rain falls down, not up Anyhow, I can only suggest checking your weather stripping and rear windshield. Try to trace the routes water takes down the back of your car, you also might be able to track the moisture in the carpets to the source.

tailights weatherstriping is also a major problem for leaks in other nissan cars. try that too
