Sorry, clicked the wrong button on that last one <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>
I finally got to watch today for about 30 minuets then it was raining so hard I just left...it was pretty cool tho. I saw a BMW M coupe do pretty well untill it got lost and disqualified (for that run of course). A lightly modded miata beat the other cars by about 5-8 seconds in the rain and it even got sideways twice and hit a cone <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':hehe:'> I'll be doing it in june.

Auto-x is awesome!!! The first time I did it last year, and wound up getting sooo hooked. My car will be starting her second season on April 7 <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

We'll see how many I get too this season. Last year, I did the better part of a season before I got turned on to track days. Now three 54 second runs = <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sleeping.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':zzzz:'>
Still a great place to play w/ the car and get experience though. As much hassle as it is around here (register w/n one hour of the online slots opening, drive about 45 minutes to the lot, run three times, work about 2 hours) - I'm sure I'll be back. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> |

i don't like auto-x too much. it's not my thing. the auto-x i went to, the condition of the parking lot was crappy, it was behind a cement factory or something i dunno, but sandy stuff was all over the place making cars slide. and there was a big pile off sand at the starting poing THAT THE OFFICIALS DID NOT SWEEP AWAY. so even 90 horsepower cars would burn the tires at the start and lose time. lets see, i'm made because i can't enter a stock class because i have a simple high flow cat. oh my god i've 'modified my emissions equipment', i'm going to beat miatas now! yeah right. no but those are the reasons why, i don't like some of the rules, and a sandy parking lot is not my idea of a race track. i met an old high school friend there, he got the 9th best overall time, with a neon acr with sticky tires.

James,
This past Sunday it was at Gateway International, not too bad of a lot. About 130 cars ran. Too cold for the R compounds so there was lots of spin outs. Think about running in Street Touring S because the G stock is pretty competitive. Next Sunday at Riverport (is that the place you were talking about) and after that it'll be at the GM plant. As soon as I get wider wheels and tires I'm in because someone has to represent us 240 owners. Only one there this past week was a riced out S13 coupe that really made our cars look bad. Puck

hi. the one i went to was at the family arena or something, i'm not 100% sure of the name, but it's in st. charles. hmm, i may go to the riverport auto cross. i know there aren't cement factories 'there' to screw up the parking lot <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> maybe it will change my mind about liking auto cross.

Akron Sports Car Club is one of the oldest car clubs around. They put on great events. We get 150 or so cars! I used to be into the autocross scene, but found track stuff to be much more enjoyable!
It kinda sucks to spend an 8 hour day for 3-4 minutes of tracktime. Still a good time though!

Watched it many times, but a gmc jimmy and a 66 mustang (don't kill me <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>) with a 200 I6 aren't exactly auto-x material. I may give it a shot over the summer..
