hesitation/bogging/died and now no start

alright...so the 240 the other day, started hesitating and bogging out all over the place and was idling rough. then it just died.

but now. the ecu's red indicator light isn't lighting up and the car still thinks the key is in the on position (dash on/seat belts retract when door is closed) it just started doing this when i went to go check the codes.

i can smell fuel a little bit on the intake side after i try to start it also...

and of course no start...just cranks

i can hear the fuel pump prime and the alternator tested good.

i'm lost....

Disconect the fuel line be sure you are getting fuel

Autozone sells cheap inline spark testers, make sure you have spark, start there.

Alternator has nothing to do with the car starting or not

i'll look and see about the inline tester

alternator wasn't plugged in causing the wierd gauges and seat belt thing. fixed that.

Check if the plug under the passenger kick panel on the ECU connector that goes to the cluster is still hooked up. That connector has the cold start wire and the car will not start without it
