I might be there. I was going to compete in my Civic, but I sold it, and I won't have my S13 ready by then. I could run in my Protege, but eh. If a few people are going to go, I'll go. Got nothing better to do.

All the slots are full, so you might not get a run unless people don't show up.

Check out http://www.autocrossers.org for info on upcoming events.

Generally, DC autox events are full within 30 minutes of registration being opened on Sunday nights. By mid-week after Sunday, the waiting list is often in the 50-70 car range. I keep saying that I'm going to get out there to give the fiance a ride-a-long, but I always seem to forget.

Ryan -- why'd you sell the Civic? I thought you liked it? BTW: I just picked up a new Maxima... silent hp owns.

every time i note the date of registration and come in on that same day, it's already closed

with this amount of ppl i think they should be making 2 tracks, and let different groups run them morning and afternoon

I'm sitting there putting together the car in my head, setting a budget for myself... and the numbers are stacking up. It probably would have been cost-effective to keep it if it were a 5th gen car, but because the 6th gens are just slightly mechanically different in a few key points, you can't just use the plethora of used Integra parts out there to make something out of it. A lot of stuff has to come from a Civic Si, Civic Type-R, or aftermarket. So the costs go up. Add to that the need for an OBD2 engine (since Maryland emissions inspections check for OBD2 function) and it was pretty staggering. But I was going to stick with it because I really liked the car.

The friend that sold me the car sends me an IM while all this is going through my head, saying his cousin's wife's mom (or something) needs a car and wants something like it. Um... sold! My friend and I agreed that we wouldn't sell that Civic to just anyone... it's got sentimental value, and the options configuration (i.e. none) is very rare. Given the opportunity to bail out without taking a loss, and without having the fear of selling a cool car to a ricer hanging on my conscience, I'll take it.

Finding another 240SX that's nicer than the one I just sold was a stroke of pure luck.
