s13 Power Door removal/install

Working on a vert replacing the heavy doors with coupe doors, both with power windows. Ont the outside there are the wires going from the door to the car. I cannot reach those wires. I need to know if I need to remove the dash, to get to the wires, to disconnect the two blue and white clips. I know the passenger side wires are longer than the driver side, I just cant see either of them inside the car! Is there something im missing, some kinda trick? or am I stuck removing the whole dash?

Who has replaced their doors!?!
My car is all apart right now and I need some help asap

Drop the glovebox.

Or, remove the harness from the convertible door, then install it in the coupe door.

You have to do that on the driverside, the window amp is not located in the door on convertibles. Hopefully you noticed that before you swapped it all out.

lol, ya I was scratching my head on that one. Couldnt figure out what that box was on the door, and later found out that plugs and wiring were different.

Did drop the glovebox out, still cant see it.

So now my question is, how the hell do you get the harness out of the door?

If you pull the door panel off, and disconnect the plugs from the inside, you can pull the harness out of the door. Done it tons of times.

Ok, got the wiring all figured out and everything works! wish I knew about the harness part earlier than later...

Now I have a new problem! yay
So I had the car up on jack stands and after the doors were on and working, I put the fenders and bumper back on and then pulled out the jack stands. Now the doors arent level with the latch anymore and need to moved [email protected]#%$!

So is there a way to adjust the doors without taking the damn fenders off?

Never install doors unless the car is on level ground (duh), especially on a convertible. The chassis is so dang flimsy it tweaks several inches.

You can reach in and loosen the hinge bolts through the wheel openings, but it is way easier with the fender off.
