300zx brake master middle fitting??

The middle fitting had that stupid plug in it, so I removed it and it there is no fitting inside it. if I install it as is its gonna leak for sure. so I read I could dremel my old 240 master and use the pressed in fitting from that. well I dremeled it only to find out I had the one peice cast 240 master cylinder, there is no pressed in fittings.

Then, I was searching ebay and found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m29

bought it, tryed installing it, it threads into the 300zx master fine, but the stock fitting on the brake hardline doesnt have the same thread pattern as the female end on that ebay fitting. so I cant use it.

how else can I install the middle brake line without having it leak?? can I reflare somehow to seal? anyone experienced this?

it will probably leak if you dont have that fitting in there, id just go to a junkyard and get a used MC and cut it and use the fitting off that.

Ive heard the Z31 MC is the same bore size as the Auto S13's with the correct line hook ups.

Sorry dude, thats crappy. You do need that press in fitting for the flare. It may not leak at first without it but it will sooner than later.

so you either find a flair fitting or flare your hardline? is this right?

I thought the hardline is already flaired? why do we need to flair it more?

I'm looking to do mine soon, so thank for the help guys

you re-flare it with an iso style flare
it looks like a bubble so it seals against the inward face of the bmc
as opposed to sealing against the cone of the insert

you can probably borrow the tool from autozone

how do you put in the bmc? mine bmc doesn't have the rod that's sticking out from the cylinder and goes into the booster. Can I reuse the 240sx rod and how do I connect it to the booster? thanks

I picked up some 3/16" brake hard line approx 6inch lenght and bought a brake line flaring tool cut one end and bubble flared it. Shaped to fit and cut the factory hard line and reflared it and installed a union (not a compression fitting) works great.

ok i also found that z31 bmc's fit is it worth to go out and buy that or just reflare? i would guess that the bmc i have would def be better but does anyone have first hand experience with both?

Yeah I had the same problem and I purchased an aftermarket BMC that was supposed to already have all the fittings in place. Man what a pain.

I ended up just cutting the fitting out of my stock S14 BMC and tapping it into The Z middle port. I heard that if you use a bubble flair rather than the double flare it might seal (?) importnut.net I think had some good info on this.

LOL. Like many of you guys here,
I am the Z32 brake master.

If you've done dozens of Z32 brake swaps, you are probably like me.
I have these two extra fitting sitting in my Freezer, ready to go.
Why freezer? Metal shrinks. Wink Wink.

I charge all my friends PREMIUM, just for the fittings because the effort it takes to get them are worth what I charge. Installation is delicate, I made a custom rod out of a flared hardline to hit the fitting in. Then use a piece of hard line with the threading and screw it one. I mastered it. Why buy ebay shit, when OEM is best.

LOL.

OEM FITMENT OWNS ALL. NO MODS.
