Are you running VE/VET pistons in your bottom end? If not, you do know that you cannot run anything more than P11 cams on the factory DET pistons right? The VE pistons(factory and aftermarket) have valve reliefs in them and the CP's for the DET's do not, limiting you to the lower lift/duration of the first gen heads. I'd hate to see you tap a valve.

For peace of mind I've asked them about it, but I don't think I need to worry about anything. I trust they know what they're doing but yes, will see what they say.

I'm not from Wellington . Buying the kit and everything else you need is the easy/cheap part, it's bolting the bugger and making it all work is the hard/expensive part but I've left that all up to Shred to do. I won't know details on machining work they've done to make it work until I have all the reciepts

In your case it would be the "right" side, we never had the privilege of the S15, so there is technically no "left" side...

Oh I see, how come and what country is that in? It's sort of like Supra's in New Zealand, they're very very un common here but you'll find Silvias and Skylines everywhere

A fellow New Zealander would back me up also, but also speaking of Skylines this country is highly in to their RB motors here. Most places you'll go you'll have someone young shout "R Fucking B" or "Get an RB!" at you lol

Yes. I believe there were less than 10k S14a's sold between 97-98. 95 models sold the most with slightly over 25k then it fell off hard. Had we gotten the turbo model, I believe those numbers would've been drastically different throughout all years. However, we were stuck with a "truck" motor.

Aren't they suppose to have better potential then SR20DET's though? Here we don't really see people building them so I don't know a heck of a lot about them.
And yeah, the first idea was just to have a forged block, 272 cams and have it tuned with a big laggy GTX35. Then when I was asking around places I eventually got speaking to Aaron at Shred Motorsport and he started talking to me about the SR20VE's which at the time I knew nothing to very little about. Then well...the rest has turned in to this build from that moment on |

He may be running a P12 solenoid, which activates both intake and exhaust cams at the same time. He also is lacking the bleed back line, which from my understanding isn't really needed, because the oil pressure can bleed off through the rockers, it'll just take a sec or two longer for his high lobes to deactivate. So, with all that said he doesn't need 3 lines.
