Does manual TRANS 240 have trans filter?

Seems like automatics have transmission filters. Do manual T have trans filters.

Does Nissan install a magnetic drain plug on the gearbox at the factory?

Can you buy another magnetic drain plug and use that as the filler plug?

All of mine have had magnetic drain plugs... so I think Nissan installed them.

And I'm pretty sure the drain and filler are the same thread size and pitch, so sure.

I do not know if they come from the factory with a magnetic drain plug or not, my guess would be no.

But you can go and buy one at just about any auto parts store.

Not for the engine oil... we're talking about the transmission plugs. I'm 99% sure they're factory installed magnetic transmission drain plugs.

Let's clear this up now.

ALL NISSAN MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS AND REAR DIFFERENTIALS

come with a magnetic drain plug. From the manufacturer. OEM.

Alright, no more playing around.

All Nissan manual gearbox and rear diff use magnetic drain plugs from the factory. The filler plugs are not magnetic.

You can buy another magnetic drain plug and install in place of the filler plug.

The oil pan does not have a magnetic drain plug.
