RB25 temp creep
Alright dudes. After lots of searching between Google, Zilvia, and other 240 forums, I'm stumped. I keep getting mixed reviews here. I'm running my RB25 with the KA cluster and RB coolant temp sensor (cluster sensor). A lot of the time, the temp needle will stay at the bottom most line, but, after bleeding it for an hour today, it goes in the middle and stays there. My question is, is the RB sensor going to read the same on a KA cluster? I've heard reviews that they read low and high, don't read at all, and that the KA sensor will read high. I'm just paranoid it's overheating like mofo and it's junk or something. Any input would be great. Thanks.

An engine being slow to warm up is usually because of a leaking or missing thermostat. I recall you've recently rebuilt your engine. Did you inspect the thermo?
My RB temp sensor has always displayed the correct temp in my S14 cluster. RB25 and S14 KA temp sensors use the exact same resistance curve. I'm guessing the S13 KA is identical. Proof that RB and S14 KA are identical: From the RB FSM From the S14 FSM |

I just put a brand new 300zx thermostat in when I did the rebuild. Maybe I've just been driving it cold? Idk it's weird. I'm probably overthinking it. Thanks for the insight though, my man. Definitely puts my mind at ease a bit haha
