the motor is expensive.

of course you will need a custom driveshaft, mounts, etc.

just go sr and save yourself the headache.

From what I here, even if you run a stand alone/create your own harness you need to be a nissan service tech to do it, or atleast know a rediculous amont about electrical and Nissan 2nd gen. OBD2 sensors and codes. and even if you do the swap I wouldn't use the stock VQ35DE tranny it's glass it's the same tranny as the S15 SR20DET 6spd. (once u push respectable power it will shatter).

The S15 uses the FS6R92A (took me a while to find that) while the Z33 uses the FS6R31A. The early Z33 transmissions did have syncro problems, but the gears themselves are quite large and strong. There is a Z in the 10s with the stock 6spd, and plenty of boosted Z33s with plenty of power that don't break the transmission.

Thank you. I was hoping someone would chime in and prove there are still intelligent people on this board.

I read in a magazine recently that compared to the RB25/26, the VQ35 swap would be better for autoX or time-attack racing. thoughts? (yes, I realize this is an old thread but this is one of only two that popped up when I searched )
