84 Z31 turbo won't stay running

Hello zilvia, I just bought a z31 50 ae with 49k original miles yesterday. Since its been sitting for 16 years in a garage, it didn't start. After new gas, fuel system cleaner, and new spark plugs, I have been able to get it running again. It runs really smooth, but after about 45 seconds or so, it'll die off. I can start the car and the same thing happens. When I was test driving it around the block, I also noticed it has absolutely NO POWER. (40 mph was the top speed, foot to the floor). Engine does backfire a bit on idle occasionally, which may be due to the 1800rpm idle (needs adjustment). I'm thinking it's a combination of a bad fuel pump and bad injectors. Thoughts?

I was going to suggest the fuel pump. It never hurts to replace it after sitting for 16 years.
