Not getting spark from ignition coil

I know it could be as simple as the ignition coil is out, but could this be something else? We're getting power to the ignition coil but when we go to start the car it just cranks but doesn't actually start up. No spark to the dizzy either, but that's because there isn't one from the coil I'm pretty sure. It's on a KA24DE too.

I'm not sure, we didn't follow it all the way through the harness. It was a solid black wire snipped right at the blue plug that goes into the ecu.
