No holes in firewall for clutch slave cylinder
so i was looking on my firewall today in search of three hole for the clutch slave cylinder and the only hole was the one for the hood latch cable. i have a 91 base model hatch auto. did nissan not make these interchangeable without drilling.

Slave bolts to side of the tranny to operate the clutch fork. I think you're meaning the clutch master cylinder which bolts to the firewall beside the brake booster. If you can't see where it goes there, stick your head under the dash, and you'll see where it should be.

No they did not. With the Auto you will have to drill/hole saw the holes in the firewall to mount the master cylinder. The location for the holes are stamped in the firewall and its pretty simple to do.
