Swap for a 5-speed brake booster - The master cylinder has a bigger bore, but is externally the same size.

Been there, done that...hehe.

to bring my old thread back to life.. I had major issues with this yesterday. the top mount JGS manifold makes the turbo touch the brake MC even after I swapped boosters with my friends from an s13. Is there anything else I can do to get more clearance? The turbo heated up the MC so bad that my brakes started pressurizing and they held my car in place. also.. the turbo burned a hole in my hood liner... did I install the oil line wrong maybe?

My turbo burned a hole in my hood too. The JGS manifold has always had fairly poor turbo placement. I've had a RevHard and older version Boost Designs manifolds on my s14, with auto brake booster, and never had an issue at all. Well.. a couple years ago a weld rusted through and blew fire on the resivour, but that's not the booster position's fault.

you think I can fix it with a heat shield and thermal wrap? or should I just get a diff. mani and save myself some future probs?

I was only driving for 10 miles before they heated up and locked on me

I really don't know how much space you'll gain, so your options will be:
a) replace bmc with manual version and get heat wrap
b) new manifold

A new manifold requires a new downpipe, and some modification to your fmic piping (even if it's just cut out a section of the pipe and connect with a silicone coupler).
A picture of your setup would help people lend their advice to your situation. If your goals are for daily driving and normal power levels (up to about 300hp), the JGS will do it's job. If you can get the clearance, that's what you'll want to do I think.
If you want massive power, a new manifold will help in the power goal, and give better turbo placement.

see how close it is? I already tried to bend the line but it still got too hot..
I was thinking.. could I T off of the line that's more in front of the cylinder and re-route the close line around the MC? or perhaps.. tap the line on the other side and reroute it that way?
I'm going to get a heat shield and heat wrap my downpipe and brake fluid resevoir but I'd still feel better if that line wasn't so close..

wrapping might help, but from what i see........... its too daymn close for my liking.... with the log mani u could of placed it farther up front....u could wrap the MC also.... see what happens when u wrap it... more then likely plan B new mani is the ideal..
