easiest way
jack up front of car to get both wheels off ground
remove cap for power steering reservior
turn steering wheel to full lock ot one side
turn steering wheel to full lock other side

repeat until all bubbles ar out of the PS reservoir.

done and done
takes 10 mins if that. so easy.

^^^ That is a tried and true method, that is how my KA was bled, it would make perfect sense for your SR... Oh and, to answer the thread starter's OTHER question: PS fluid = autozone Automatic Transmission Fluid, 1-3 bux

I agree with Dousan this time, there is no specific reference to it in the FSM, I was looking at it while he answered... I say disconnect the lower most hose, point it into a bucket, start car, turn wheel til fuid stops coming out of it, cut the car off start filling the reservoir, start the car back up, then follow the steps he gave for bleeding, as that IS what the FSM specifies.

I've never had a problem with just lifting the front and turning the wheel back and forth for awhile.

pull the hard lines off the rack, turn the wheel from lock to lock to let all the fluid out of the rack. Take the hose off and run the motor. haha
