The pink panty dropper- ls1 S13
I've been researching the ls1 240sx swap for ages, and one thing that's always been missing is a comprehensive list of everything that will need to altered or modify in order to retain a factory like operation.
So here's the build: I picked up a 2004 GTO engine with 31,000 miles, it arrived super clean and I couldn't be happier. I used the t-56 transmission out of an f-body for ease of install even though it's geared slightly less aggressively. Issue number one. The GTO transmission shifter block is offset toward the rear, so it won't align properly with the shifter hole, whereas the f-body is over center and lines up perfectly. I went with the silkky swap kit because Justin and those dudes know there shit, and the customer service is next to none.. But the choice is yours. Included in the kit: Motor mounts Tranny mount Willwood clutch mater cylinder and stainless lines Driveshaft Oil filter relocation kit New sump Custom pan Power steering lines Sway bar And headers "Within the next month or so they will have an a/c adapter kit as well I ran into a few other solutions along the way as well Lokar offers a 48' inch throttle cable with an ls1 end I used tick performances speed bleeder Mishimitos universal 27x 3 inch radiator and two 12" electric fans Wiring specialties is making the harness as we speak, they offer a simple plug and play solution, great customer service, and a great install write up. |

We have a build section. Go post there and wait for your build approval.

Nice list of parts. Just to add a note to your comment about the different T56, I have a GTO T56 which allegedly has a bit stronger internals and by switching the Shift Offset Lever ($60 piece) from the GTO to the Fbody my shifter now sits in the same location as yours. The piece is held together with a small pin that took no effort to remove.
Look forward to your build. |

My fault for starting the thread in the correct place, I should have looked harder for a build section, or asked. And what the hell is the deal with only being to upload 1 picture as a time? Just an I phone thing? Or do I need to adjust some settings on my phone. None the less if I can't figure it out I'll just break out the lap top.
Anyway, as soon as the harness arrives I'll start the actual build, five days or so I'd say. I wanted this thread to be more of a Q&A verses just a showing off of sweet shit. So anybody who has something they want covered just ask and I'll take photos and provide part numbers ect. Thanks |

That's a bummer it's a used title, and what's funny is I have seen that build, super sweet. But I wouldn't have knowingly plagiarized a title lol. I think it's funny that you would take the time out of your day to disclose that, don't worry little drama creator, there is a place in heaven for you as well. You don't like the build or the title of the build, don't read it!

The show must go on!!!!
Just got a large order of some swag we designed. I was expecting things to be coming together a little more quickly, but I'm still waiting on the harness, and flywheel. I'll post pics as soon as they arrive. |

Lol understandably I don't have a lot posted, I'm having issues posting pictures off my I phone so I'm taking a bunch with the intention of posting all of them pre "put together". As I've said harness is behind schedule.
All the other build threads I've seen we're just a bunch of picture of ups deliveries, and some random paint and body work. I thought with mine I'd like to show the nit and gritty. All the shit that went wrong along the way. Things the next guy can avoid ect. And I'm not real sure why thus far, this subject is getting so much flack. I work on a work over rig in North Dakota, about 105 hours a week, so it's been difficult to do any serious computer work so far, I'll be taking a few much needed weeks off as soon as all the parts are here! Like I said before, if you don't like the thread, then don't read the damn thing. |

That's not a bad idea at all. So I went out and bought a large amount of resin and hardener, and a few sheets of fiberglass. I'm going to refinish the dash, and add some custom clusters, and also redo the factory one so only a tach and a speedo are there. Anyone have any experience doing this? Any feedback would be helpful as I'm taking a shot in the dark, it looks super easy though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Flywheel showed up with no hardware of course so now I have to order bell housing bolts and flywheel bolts. On my Way to the machine shop now to get the flywheel resurfaced.

I wasn't going to do this because I don't have a lot of time but if anyone is interested in any of the old s13 parts I have let me know
A rough list includes ka24d motor set in surprisingly good working condition, an uncut wiring harness, tranny works great but I cut off the shifter. I have some unbroken plastic and a little no name eBay turbo with bov inter cooler and piping. I'll send pics if anyone is interested, if not, junk yard time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hey man, no offence, but this build thread sucks.
not saying the build sucks, just the thread. you need to take some more pictures, like some of the car. then you need to make an account on photobucket, and upload the pics there, and copy/paste the IMG code to post pics. thumbnails suck, and nobody is going to be interested enough to click on them. just trying to help you out, can't wait to see how this project goes.

Lol dude I appreciate the feedback, I'm not very computer savvy if you haven't noticed, and I'll look into the photo bucket account now. I do have several dozen pictures already so I'll see what I can do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well I can copy paste all these onto the thread but for some reason the photo quality seemed to diminish after that, anybody else seem to agree?

You need to copy and paste the IMG code.
you can copy and paste them all into one post. and you can edit your posts also so you don't have to have so many posts with such little information. take a look at other people's build threads and hit the quote button so you can see what the codes look like.
